15 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 15 weeks

Size of baby:  About 4 inches long and weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. About the size of an apple.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've stayed the same. I changed my work out routine a little before I got pregnant. I'm not running half as much as I use to and started spinning. I think that may be the reason why my weight has stayed the same.

Maternity Clothes: I gave in. I didn't want to but I had to. I went to Ross and found the cheapest pair I could. Let me tell ya, pregnant or not every lady needs to try on a pair. MOST COMFORTABLE THING EVER!!
Gender: We're dying to find out!! Next Month!!
Movement: I think I felt something a couple days ago! I sure hope it was the baby and not just my stomach rumbling but I always get fooled by that! It felt like popcorn popping in my stomach!
Sleep: surprisingly good!! I only have to get up once to pee and I swear I'm asleep during the whole process. I think what helps a lot is having a pillow between my legs and another one supporting my back.
Symptoms: Just hungry all the time. I think I got lucky with morning sickness. Praise Jesus!
What I miss: nothing since my last post
Cravings: Anything sweet! And peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
Best Moment this week: Feeling the baby move...at least I think it was the baby. Joseph won't believe me.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender :)

Completely off topic but I have to talk about this show!! If you haven't seen it, you must! It is by far my favorite show ever! It's about a redneck family who have made millions by making duck calls. It's such a Beverly Hillbillies story. It is so hilarious and the best thing is, they love Jesus and they're all about family!!
It's on A&E...sadly we don't have cable so we have to wait til the next day to watch it on a&e.com. If you're familiar with this show, Uncle Sy is out favorite. He is SO funny! I would love to meet him!

Something About Spring..

I love it when I start to see my plants sprout. It reminds me of Spring and all that comes with it. Everything is green again. The new life reminds me of my hope in Christ.

Sunlight and water are the source of my plants growth. For us, the source of life is Jesus. He brings new life as we abide in Him.

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Baby!!

It's been a while hasn't it? I can explain!
I am beyond excited to announce that it's our turn!! It's finally our turn! God is truly so good and it's blessing after blessing. It took me a while to find out because...well, deep down inside I knew that I was but I didn't want to take the test because I knew that once I did and it confirmed what I had thought, I knew that I wouldn't be able to run the race in May and the marathon in October. But once I took the test, I was screaming for joy! I didn't care about the races I would be missing, God had just blessed us with something so special!

I took the pregnancy tests at 6 weeks. I didn't know I was 6 weeks at the time. I just knew that I had skipped my period and wanted to wait a little bit until I took the test. I took one at 3am and one at 7am. Poor Joseph..I woke him up at 3 am to tell him.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 10 weeks

Size of baby: a little over an inch or so long. The size of a kumquat...whatever that is.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Not sure :/ I'm not sure how much I weighed before I was preggo. I'm really bad at keeping track of that.

Maternity Clothes: not yet!! Although, the 3 pairs of jeans I own don't fit anymore. If you happen to see me around in them, you know I've got them rigged somehow!
Gender: Don't know yet!!
Movement: I thought I felt some movement but it was just my stomach telling me I was hungry :) just kidding....no movement yet.
Sleep: ehh..it could be better. This whole having to pee 3 times a night isn't working out.
Symptoms: Hungry all the time, I need to pee all hours of the day and night..I'm not sure where all this fluid is coming from.
What I miss: bring able to sleep through the night.
Cravings: Anything sweet and buffalo chicken strips (oh my, just typing that makes me crave it)! I think about food a lot!! It's weird, I'll crave for something like nachos for 3 straight days and I'll take one whiff at it and not want it at all.
Best Moment this week: waking up nausea free! And being able to finally announce our secret.
What I am looking forward to: My next appointment! We'll hear the babys heartbeat.

We are so excited. I am constantly praying for our baby and for us. I am still so shocked that God has entrusted us with His child! I know this is just the beginning but I feel like God has already done a number in my life with this pregnancy. I wish I could elaborate but it would take a whole book to do it.

Whiskeytown Falls

The weather here has been amazing!! I almost feel bad because we haven't had a lot of rain and we definitely need it. We took advantage of the weather last weekend and went hiking. My little sister and mom came along. I'm not gonna lie...it was a hard hike. Going from an indoor gym to outdoor hiking was a big change for my body. I was ready to give up half a mile into it!

They're troopers! Especially my mom. We got back at 1 and she had to leave for work at 2 pm. I don't know how she did it because I was sore all day.

Joseph taking a detour from the trails. He almost couldn't find his way back down to us. I had to catch him here :) We later found out that leaving the trail was prohibited due to erosion. I'm not sure what that means but it doesn't sound safe.

Taking in God's creation

It was beautiful!! I don't know how these waterfalls were found. I seriously had to hike in and around the mountains.

My little sister was so cute. When she found out there was a waterfall at the end, she kept saying "it's worth it, it's worth it". About an hour later she told us it wasn't worth it. Haha!

I'm so glad we didn't turn around. It always feel so good to finish something you've started. I forgot how much I enjoy hiking!

Monogrammed Hunters

This makes my heart happy....

This makes my heart even more happy...
It's funny...these three verses have been what it seems like my life verse for the past couple months and I found this on a blog that I read. Just perfect.

Valentines Decor

I wasn't planning on doing any decorating for Valentines but once I saw these mini roses at Safeway for $2.99...I was done. I knew I had to get more than just one and that once I got them home, I would have to go back and get more. They are darling!!!

I love this plate!! I get most of my decor after the holiday because then it's all discounted! I got this plate  and another one just like it but it says "love" for a total of $3 at Kohls.

Same as Christmas..just a different banner and some pink touches.

My mercury candle stands have become a staple decor. I got these after Christmas at Kohls for $2.99 each.

I got these milk glass vases from Joseph's grandma while we were in Ohio. She was so sweet to give them to me. I am so glad I have something of hers.

Skate Night

We took it back to the 1990's this past Wednesday. My parents church had a skate night at the local skating rink and it was so much fun! We all bragged about how good we were and how we were going to show the other person up. Our true skills came out as soon as those skates went on!

The guys ready to dominate in a skating game against the 3rd and 4th graders.

Joseph in his element.

My little sister Kaylee and I.

Kaylee and her cute friend Evan. They go to school together and she was SO TICKLED he came. She wanted nothing to do with us once she saw him.

Skating it up. Good night for sure!
